Beads of Courage project for God’s Work, Our Hands 2020

13 Jan 2020 | 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

In coordination with Levine Children’s Hospital and Beads of Courage, I am looking for some members that enjoy sewing at home to make drawstring bags to help support this effort. Beads of Courage is a non-profit dedicated to improving the quality of life for children and teens coping with serious illness, their families and the clinicians who care for them through an Arts in Medicine program. The program integrates the use of specially designed beads to be given to honor courage, alleviate suffering, strengthen resilience and affirm human caring. To read more about this incredible program go to Our goal is to provide the hospital with bags that they will disperse to patients on an as needed basis. The hospital uses approximately 300 of these bags each year. I will have an interest meeting on Monday, January 13 at 11:00. A pattern with instructions will be provided. Contact Caren Ballantine or MacKenzie Miller for more information.
