Two Opportunities to have fun and make a difference in this disease.
Can you walk 2 miles? Then you can help raise funds to find a cure for Pulmonary Fibrosis. Saturday, September 7, at Carmel Road Park, 8:30 registration, 9:00 a.m. start. The ambitious goal of $50,000 has been set, and you can help make it a reality! (go to walkforbreath.com, in the menu box, select Walk For Breath and on that page on the left side you will see the teams. Select “Moving Vann” to make a donation in support of Vann Simpson’s team. You will see Pastor Angela’s name there as well, you can make an on-line donation in support. Let’s show this disease we mean business, and give our support now!) Friends of the congregation, Vann and Robin Simpson have created a Walk for Breath, to raise awareness and funds for those, like Vann, affected by the disease Pulmonary Fibrosis. Join in, bring your baby, bring your kids, bring yourself, and make a difference.
If you are unable to participate on Saturday, then on Friday, September 6, at Phillips Place, come out and hear some great music. From 7:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. support the Mel Pellegrini Quartet and purchase a specialty drink or two! There will be 2 specialty drinks offered by Cafe Monte to help our cause! Proceeds from these 2 drinks will be donated to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, and will help us reach our goal of $50,000. Bring the family for a great night of music.
